1. Having sex with your ex is going to complicate things. You broke up for a reason, right? If you want to keep things this way, without bringing more confusion to your life, it would be in your best interest to never have sex with your ex.
2. The second that you have sex old feelings may come back. Is that something you are willing to deal with? It takes most people a long time to get over their ex. Do you really want to have all your feelings come to the forefront once again? If you do this there is a good chance that your heart will once again be broken.
3. Are you still friends with your ex? If so, there is nothing wrong with this. But if you begin to have sex with your ex you could kill this friendship for good. Most people will agree that the risk is not worth the reward.

Now do you see why having sex with your ex is a bad idea? There are some people who dream about this, but end up regretting their actions in the long run. Remember, your ex is your ex for a reason. If you start up a sexual relationship there is a good chance that you will complicate things, bring back old feelings, or ruin your friendship. Do you really want to take the risk?
